Senior Technical Trainer / Evangelist (m/f/d)

Our Academy team is looking for a passionate developer to be our loud technical voice and inspire the PHP community around the world.

Maybe you are an ex-developer who now enjoys teaching more than coding? Or a developer who wants to explore a brand new career path and share everything you learned with others?

As a Senior Technical Trainer / Evangelist (m/f/d), you will deliver high-quality content, training, and events to a varied audience of developers (from very junior to very senior ones). You will “wow” our customers, partners, and Sprykees, with an outstanding educational experience. We will also help us build strong developer relationships, run meetups, and drive improvement and new ideas.

Can you transform highly technical topics into simple and inspiring stories? If yes, join us to disrupt the world of technology training and commerce.
Your challenges
  • Design multi-layered educational content for internal and external developers
  • Deliver high quality & engaging virtual training sessions (some travel & in-person training might be required)
  • Enable and empower Spryker developers of varying levels
  • Help shape the ongoing strategy and mission of our training program
  • Support a community of learners across our customers, partners, and internal audience
  • Build a relationship with the community to aggregate and analyze their feedback and advocate on their behalf within the company
  • Become a Spryker Development Subject Matter Expert, and become the face of the Spryker Developer Community.  Build and inspire the developer community, run meetups, deliver webinars & nurture strong relationships 
  • Establish your growth path in one of many possible directions: Tech Evangelism & Training, Developer Relations, Product Management, Engineering, or Solution Consulting
Your profile
  • 3+ years of experience working with any Object Oriented programming language (e.g. PHP or Java, but PHP and related technologies are a big plus)
  • An eye for code quality and familiarity with SOLID, Clean Code, and other principles
  • Eloquence (and self-confidence) in both written and spoken English language is a must
  • Outstanding presentation skills and a strong urge to share knowledge  
  • An eye for detail, and the desire to innovate and drive constant improvement

             Bonus points for:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another relevant field, or equivalent work experience
  • Background in e-commerce
  • Experience with modern web technologies
  • Experience with creating technical content and tutorials 
  • Enthusiastic about speaking in public and have a track record of giving speeches, workshops, training, or similar
