(Senior) Director Product Management

As a (Senior) Director Product Management, you will be reporting to the VP Product directly.  You will be responsible for the Extensibility, Composability, and Developer Experience of Spryker platform (B2C, B2B, Enterprise Marketplaces, Unified Commerce), spearheading the core part of our platform.
Your challenges

  • Drive the future vision & strategy of the Spryker Cloud Commerce OS overall, and specifically responsible for the extensibility, composability, and developer experience

  • Together with your engineering counterparts and the product managers, drive the timely and effective delivery of Spryker’s planned product roadmap. Your immediate product portfolio is going to include:

    • our cutting edge App Orchestration Platform focused on enabling merchants to compose their desired commerce experience without or very limited involvement from the development team

    • our leapfrog Frontend Enablement Service product focused on enabling merchants to create sophisticated frontend experience across any channels with limited involvement from the development team

    • and Spryker SDK, the golden key to Spryker PaaS infrastructure and the only way to integrate with Spryker moving forward

  • Seek and embed insights from the market, Spryker customers & partners, that shape the future product vision across existing products and beyond

  • Manage, mentor, and train existing product managers, responsible for these products, while working with our talent acquisition team to massively scale the team further

  • Gather and propose new innovative product ideas that help grow Spryker’s business beyond the existing product portfolio and actively shape the future of Spryker

  • Identify partnership and M&A opportunities to enhance Spryker’s product portfolio, and ultimately grow Spryker’s business further

  • Build productive relationships and effective processes within the larger cross-functional organization at Spryker aiming at improving Spryker’s efficiency in delivering exceptional new products to market 

Your profile

  • You have 5 years of proven work experience in leadership positions

  • You have 7 + years of experience in Product Management within a technology organisation, preferably in the PaaS or SaaS space

  • You possess exceptional results-orientation and decision-making skills

  • Familiarity with modern customer validation and analysing techniques

  • Deep knowledge and experience of executing change management

  • Proven work experience using Agile methodologies like Scrum/Kanban

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Critical thinker with a structured approach to problem-solving

  • Professional level in spoken & written English language

  • Good understanding of a full software development lifecycle

  • You should feel comfortable and familiar with our technology stack (we do not expect expertise in all fields of course), so take a look:  Backend: PHP7, PostgreSQL/MySQL/MariaDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, Twig, Composer, Git. Frontend: Javascript, Webpack, NPM, ReactJs, Angular2. System: Vagrant, Saltstack, Docker
